This is where I’m supposed to tell you that I am a loving girlfriend who has always loved cooking and baking. Bla blah blah. Bottom line: I have learned cooking and baking out of a necessity since dining at restaurants would leave me with more month than money.
My recipes range from sweet to savory through different culinary cultures. Since I want to live palm oil free, I have to cook from scratch. My recipes are a reflection of my Austrian and Indonesian background and the new home I chose: the Netherlands. They also reflect the cultures of friends and loved ones I surround myself with. Therefore, I will also share Morrocan, Palestinian, Syrian, Persian and Afghan recipes.
Some fun facts about me
I moved to the Netherlands in 2017 and ever since then I started to cook Austrian food. Before my move, I only cooked and baked everything else minus the Austrian food. I love coffee and yerba mate. I am lactose intolerant and I always forget about it. But my body makes sure to remind me later. I can eat anything at any time of the day: fried rice with extra sambal for breakfast? Bring it on. I love ice cream and chocolate. I try to live palm oil free. Which is hard considering that palm oil is in almost any unhealthy sweet chocolate thing from the supermarket.
